Simple Holiday Makeup Look:

Just a quick look i did for the holidays, or anytime really. You can't tell in the pictures but the eyeshadow I used on my lids is really glittery which in my opinion all holiday looks need. This look would also be pretty with a red lip. I have a list of the products I used below, after the pictures : )

A re-discovered love!

Coastal Scents 10 blush palette:

Ive had this palette for quite awhile and have just re-discovered how much i love it!. It has a beautiful range of very pigmented shades! You have all the colors you would need to complete any look! Some of the shades may seem a bit intense but when applied to the cheeks in moderation are really pretty!. Its still available on the Coastal Scents website and let me know if you have any questions. www.coastalscents.com

Nails of the Week:

Sinful Colors in "Nirvana"

Review: Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-cream.

Let me start off by saying i love this moisturizer. I find it to be very moisturizing and not heavy on my skin. I have oily skin so i really only apply it at night after i wash my face. As soon as i apply it i can feel my skin being instantly moisturized and its left feeling soft. It has a gel-like consistency and is very light weight. As for the smell, it has a slight medicine smell which im not fond of, but applied to the skin has no smell. I find this to be very comparable to the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel but half the price! its definitely worth checking out, especially if you like the Cinque!

Starting again.

Ok so its been awhile since i started this blog and actually posted. I have a lot of free time and a huge love for anything beauty and fashion related. Ive decided to start doing a Nail Of the Week, where i post nail polish I'm wearing for the week which should be fun! I will be posting outfits of the day and makeup of the day as well. I will also still be reviewing products and giving my thoughts on them. So stay tuned...

Revlon Colorstay Foundation

This is my holy grail foundation. I have been using it for many years. My shade is # 180 Sand Beige in Combination/Oily. It has SPF 6 and retails anywhere from 10-13 dollars i believe. Has amazing coverage and lasts all day. I find that i have to set mine with a powder because i like my face to feel smooth. The smell of it is a little like paint which for some is very unpleasant but after using it for so long i don't even notice and the smell does not stay on the face once applied. The best results I've had for application have been with my fingers or a beauty blender sponge (wet).

Witch Hazel

I just recently started using Witch Hazel and let me tell you I'm already hooked. Witch Hazel can be used for several things, here are a few ways i use it...

1. Blemish and Spot control
Witch hazel can reduce the inflammation on a pimple. Some people claim daily use helps with acne.

2. As a Toner.
Gets rid of any and all makeup left behind after washing! also shrinks pores.

3. Soothe Razor Burn.
It has anti-inflammatory properties that stop itchy red bumps from shaving. I apply it before and after shaving any sensitive areas.

4. Soothing Sunburn
It soothes the skin while preventing pealing and it lessens healing time.

5. Swollen and Irritated Eye Relief.
If you have tired, red puffy eyes, place some ( do not drench) on a cotton pad and apply to eyes..it works wonders.

There are so many more uses for witch hazel. It is amazing and everyone should keep some around the house!

Eye Makeup Remover.

I have been using this eye makeup remover for years and it is by far my holy grail makeup remover. It claims to be gentle and effective which i certainly find it to be. It is an oil-free product, however it claims to not leave the skin oily i find that it does but nothing a quick swipe of a tissue cant take care of.The best method that worked for me is using a cotton round, holding it on the eye for about 30 seconds and then gently wipe. It does take off waterproof mascara.
